Roly Witherow is a composer for film, TV, theatre and other visual media. His film scores have been heard in hundreds of film festivals around the world including BFI London, Raindance and Sitges.
His credits include Channel 4's On The Edge, Gregor, nominated in the British Independent Film Awards in 2015, and additional music for BBC1's Who Do You Think You Are. Roly recently finished the music and sound design for the first ever revival of David Hare's The Permanent Way, on at The Vaults Theatre in London from October to December 2019.
With a diverse compositional voice that includes orchestral, electronic and folk influences, Roly is known for writing distinctive and memorable scores which form an integral part of a narrative and lend depth to characters and themes.
Through his work with music agencies Wake the Town and CORD, Roly also writes music for commercials. He has scored adverts for global brands including Tate, Valentino and Castrol, as well as TV coverage of the Rio Olympics and the Russia World Cup.
