The Permanent Way (2019)

-Music & Sound Design-

The first ever revival of David Hare's acclaimed verbatim play The Permanent Way, a savage yet humorous piece of theatre about the privatisation of the British railways which resulted in numerous crashes and deaths in the 1990s. This immersive site-specific production, located under the train tracks at The Vaults Theatre was directed by Alex Lass and produced by Debbie Hicks. The score melds sound and music, combining train sounds, synthesisers and excerpts of Margaret Thatcher and John Major. The production was reviewed by The Guardian here.
