Into the Mud (2016)

Into The Mud was the much celebrated first short film of Spanish director Pablo Pastor. In the film, a girl (played by María Forqué) awakes alone and naked in the woods and tries to escape her captor. The score plays on classic slasher musical tropes combining orchestral sounds with haunting human voices. I also wrote a credits song for this film based on the poem Hafmey Fogur by Jónas Hallgrímsson (1845). Into The Mud has screened at over 80 festivals picking up numerous awards including best short film at Shock Stock festival. You can now view the whole film on Dread Central here.
