The Knackerman (2016) 

​

 A contemporary black and white Western by Tom Shrapnel set in the heart of rural East Anglia. The Knackerman tells the story of Ron - an aging Knacker who is responsible for the disposal of ill horses and livestock. When his own horse falls ill, Ron must decide its fate and in doing so, face his own mortality. The score is provided mostly by a delicate and solitary classical guitar . The Knackerman was funded by Creative England and BFI and won numerous awards including best East Anglian short at Norwich film festival.
